Location. The Hotel Maitai Polynesia is located on the southern tip of Bora Bora. The main village, Vaitape, is eight kilometers from the hotel. Matira Point and Beach is 350 meters away. A minibus is available to escort guests to and from Vaitape village where guests can ride the boat shuttle to the Bora Bora Airport. Hotel Features. The main restaurant, Haere Mai, serves dishes combining European and Polynesian cuisine. Fare Tama'a Maitai serves snacks on the hotel's private beach. Manuia Bar, translated as "cheers," offers beverages in a relaxed atmosphere in tropical gardens. Banquet facilities are available and the lobby can be transformed into a small meeting room. The hotel's excursion desk offers tour assistance and provides complimentary snorkeling equipment, kayaks and life jackets.
